Awakening amidst the abysmal anarchy

The so-called largest democracy of the world – India, is sadly on the verge of loosing its magnanimity.
All we see around today is merely a political falderal. The political parties today, are only interested in pricking the development balloons of the significant opponents. The political leaders, who are supposedly the altruist of the nation, have unfortunately lost all their credibility in the public.

These gullible senators certainly seem to have acquired a degree in grafting. They first come to power by exercising all their influence. And once they get it, then starts the actual drama. They try and fulfill all their dreams. Dreams - which are only theirs. All they are worried about is setting aside enough funds for their vested interests.  No one takes the pain of securing the future of the country!

Who tends to remember the theories of responsibility and righteousness?  All their vows become a thing of past. This leaves the common man with displeasure and complaints. Complaints - which nobody bothers to hear.

We’ve had it enough. Wake up people. The times have now changed. Gone are the days when one used to moan in despair. It's time to show them what a common man can do. It’s time to strengthen ourselves with the weapon of “Constitutional Rights”. The rights that were once studied about in our Civics books. We have the right to “Freedom of Expression” but we seldom use it. We have the “Judiciary”, but we hardly raise an issue. The fundamental duties that we were asked to by-heart in our early stages, we tend to forget them.

This callousness will cost us a great deal.  To remind you all, a very vital role that we play in deciding the fate of the country, is the ultimate power of voting. Democracy is significant of the people’s power. But that will only make an impact, if we, the people actually participate. It is often found that nearly half the population is ignorant when it comes to casting your votes.  Behave like wise men, judge the candidates and cast in your vote for the one who deserves it. Simply sitting at home is not an option. Your vote is important.
If all of us unite, we can definitely bring a change. As it is rightly said, determination and wisdom can make the impossible happen!!

Everything on your fingertips!

And while browsing the web, I came across something really interesting! In the techno-world that we dwell in, "Gingr" has added a feather to the cap of development.
Gingr is a website that bridges the gap between customers and the business. It is India's first instant messaging service that lets user chat with local businesses around.
We often look up to queries like :
Do you have it in stock? What are the charges for haircut? Can I get a cab to airport in an hour? Can we get a table for 5?
But isn't it amazing when you can get it all on your fingertips. Gingr is available on web: www.gingr.me and you can download the android app as well: www.gingr.me/play
We actually needed something of this sort! As it is rightly said, "Neccesity is the mother of invention" :)
Now, your brain would be mushrooming with thoughts on how talented these guys must be!
Its an effort of about 20 year olds that has bore all the fruit. Yes, Gingr is a venture started by IIT Delhi students who are about to graduate this year.
Gingr is going to launch publicly in end of August in whole Delhi NCR, targeting 7 categories as of now : Food & Nightlife, Wellness (spa, gyms, parlors, massage), Cabs, music & sports equipment and mobile stores.
Its worth appreciation how these guys have manged to come out with such an idea! I am sure that success will come their way and it'd indeed be wonderful if they launch it nation-wide!
My best wishes to the team :)

The Heavenly Brink

Dispatched from the womb of God,
Hail the trebling raindrops.
Brings about bliss all around,
Cheerful chirpy children feel happy and sound.

Sometimes severe, sometimes mild,
And at times, as playful as a child.
Makes the sound of stadium applause,
Tends to still life, with a pause.

Happily play in the pond - the frog and the duck,
And there are potholes, filled with muck.
Excites the children to make paper boats,
And their mothers dress them in raincoats.

Fills the enormous ocean, drop-by-drop,
Begets clear rills that twine like a warp.
Quenches the thirst of many, down the slope,
Pleases the farmers and boosts them with hope.

Water, water, all around,
Alas! water scarcity knows no bound.
Nature assumes humans to be wise,
To conserve its resources, meagre in size.

Screaming as loud as a thunder,
Art thou raindrops full of anger?
Chattering with its pitch aloud,
As if that's a message for the crowd.

A message to alert the mankind,
So as to Save the Earth & 'be kind'.
Trying to awake the passive and the dormant,
A humble request to alter their devastating potent.

Nature is the best teacher for all,
Brings joy to life, and moves away the pall.
Cherish the blooming roses and the lavishing lawn,
Wake up to sustain it, before it's gone!

Happy bday Maa

Though She was not there with me since my birth, but yes SHE has now turned out to be an indispensable part of my life. There is indeed a magical bond of love between us - a thread of affection that keeps us intact!
I still remember that day when Madam Punita Nehru joined DPS as a Principal. But who knew that God was planning to send maa into my life. Yes, she is a mother to me. And I proudly speak out the fact that she's my mommy. I have learned so much from her. Oh, yes! She is my saviour! And has always helped me to sail through. An embodiment of benevolence and love, how generous a lady she is. And on top of that her beauty is incomparable. Not only the outer appearance, her values and purity embrace her divine beauty.
Those good old times at DPSR that I still cherish to the core. The short stories that you read out in the assembly. The beautiful bday cards that we used to get on our birthdays. That word of appreciation for conducting the morning assembly so well. That juice treat for performing well in the annual function! E.H.V. classes were equally fun. There was always so much to learn. And that sweet unforgettable smile that you always wore. I really miss those golden moments maaa! <3
"Tough times never last, but tough people do" - I have learnt this from you. I promise you maa that a day will come when I will make you proud. I am sure of my success because when my hardwork intersects your blessings and guidance, then nothing is impossible!
I love so much. I owe you so much. Respect you always! :) So today is the day when I thank the  almighty for sending someone so angellic in this world. Oh, yes ofcourse, it is such a special day of August 2.

First Time when Ayushmann replied me!

Dated - 06 Nov’ 2012
As I have told you this being one of the best days of my life. Yes I met Ayushmann Khurrana!!! I wasn’t having an account on twitter earlier but he was the reason behind making one. That night was so special,I came home around 2 am after his programme. And I remember it was actually 3 am at night that I got up n made an account on twitter. I wasn’t aware a bit of what it is, but somehow I managed to find his account & tweeted him. I did so coz wen I asked him to be in contact, he told me to tweet & he’d reply! I must say he is a man of his words. He literally replied to me in a time of 5 hrs probably wen he would have got up in the morning! Lucky me! Busy in his thoughts & dreaming hard,I couldn’t even sleep that night! Yes I was experiencing Insomnia..
And y’know what! He replied : “@asmitajagwani great meeting you asmita! Raipur was jiving till 2 am! It was great fun..”
And I was like wowwieee
Now I can understand what kind of a heartbreak girls must have borne on seeing this reply on his twitter handle! ;)
Soon after this incident, I began to go mad about him - INSANE..!
I kept searching all about him..about his family, friends, his birthplace, his multiple skills & yes i also understood him well as a person! He is one of those humble people who despite reaching heights, never ignore thier morals n ethics! He is a very simple,kind-hearted and benign person, very down to earth! I believe this is the prime quality that one should have! Because, beauty lies within.. :)

There’s so much to tell about him… lets take it sometime later..
Goodbye for now! :)

The Royal experience of being a Head Girl :)

Not every girl gets this opportunity, I thank the almighty for blessing me with this golden chance.
It was yesterday that the cabinet posts were declated at school. Somewhere deep inside, I was pretty anxious about it. Surprisingly, I woke up as early as five in the morning. The sky had a different colour. The breezy winds gave a different touch to me. Yes, that day wasn't any usual one.

When in the assembly, I just sat quietly in optimism. As Principal sir said that he was then going to announce the cabinet, involuntarily a series of heart-beats started within me. And that was the proudest moment when I proudly walked to the stage in front of entire DPS! There was happiness to the core with a sense of responsibility on my shoulders.

Here starts the royalty that I witnessed. Each and every person, be it Sowmya ma'am, Bindu ma'am, Shreya,my bestie..and so many more. All the teachers wished me. There was a sense of feeling proud in their words & I could feel it. Not only the teachers, a number of students of DPS  came to me and congratulated me. That moment was just wonderful. Happines, gaeity and joy all aroud. Oh! yes, I had made a mark in the school cabinet! :)

When I came home, told my parents about this. They were probably the happiest people in the world. So proud they were. They are, indeed. I got so many calls from my relatives and friends. I just felt blessed :) I partied too, as in today's world its a customary on such occassions!

The day ended well and I was to witness a new me from now on :)

Head Girl,

Generosity & Intelligence Cost a Lot!

People often say, "Your child is a bright one. Lucky you are!"
But I am telling you, step in the shoes of a studious child and then speak out. At once, be it any of us, he would reject this. But things are not as lavishing as we see them. Just as a coin is two-faced. Being intelligent too has both aspects - good and bad. Though the latter can be conqured by strong willpower.

When at home, the children have to listen to their wishful parents who load them with a bag -  full of expectations. Their ear-drums are made familiar with sayings like "This will decide your career, focus on studies child."
When at school, the child is meant to work like a robot who is expected to be customised according to the framework of rules and regulations of the school. "Do this, do that, don't do this, don't go there....." -- Urghh! so many Do's and Dont's.
Now, when its about a mediocre child or someone who is least bothered about studying, then its fair enough because such a child will mend ways to escapism. But what about a sincere, studious child?
Ah! his is a heavy heart, full of ethics, mannerism, respect and what not! He will never answer back on an argument with the teacher. He will always try and finish his work on time. He will work best to prove his prowess. He would obey his parents dutifully and make them happy and proud in all respect.
Now you must be wondering, can a student so perfect ever face problems?
And sadly, the answer to this is a "YES". In a lifestyle like today's, a crêmé student too faces problems. We all know that human wants are endless and that we always want more! The fellow students perceive the studious one as their biggest obstacle and find ways to let him down! They try and avoid him, create hurdles for him by way of solitude. Yes, despite being so good and even kind at heart, the manipulating ones reject the idea of befriending him.
Who in his childhood would not wish to have friends? I'm sure all of us want them in life. But unfortunately, children today have turned so insensitive. Well, they are not to blame! The root cause behind this, is the increasing competion in today's fast moving life.
As my father rightly explains it, today's success mantra is as simple as "Survival of the fittest" Better you face it, the better you nail it.    Though not so easy, but "being intellectually strong as well as holding good emotional strength" is the only way to beat the mass and be the best!

To sum it up, here's a thought you can think upon,

"Be strong, work hard… but never let your heart tear apart"

Look for simple joys of life and find happiness, because as the blog title suggests, "Life is beautiful" :)

Special Moments with Sakshi

Hey guys! today I would like to introduce you all to my bestie.. SAKSHI here she is.... "Sakshi and me" - we are like so close to each other. Though we have not hours togethet, nor have we ever had night-stays or something, but yeah there's something called "Dil ka rishtaa" We heartedly thank our school DPS Raipur for letting this happen! Thank u Dps for such a benign friend..
Those days were so good, we used to have so much fun together in the school corridors. We never happened to be in the same section even, yet somehow had a special place for each other in our hearts. Then came the Golden moment of our life "The School tour to Rajasthan" I remember this was in 7th std. when both of us went for this tour. And it was this when we were together for each millisecond! Even during the hours we spent in the bus travelling.. Those were the days! This gave a fevicol-like treatment to our friendship. Since then,we began to talk a little more.
Soon after a span of 3 years, there came a sudden shock in my life when my dearest friend was beckoned by Kota and I was helpless. She pursued Science in 11th and decided to go to Kota for her medicals. Alas I was left to merely accept the fact and nothing more. Here starts the actual test of our friendship, which luckily proved to be evdn more strenthening. The obstacles of distance was in vain! whether it was something jolly or anything serious,we shared every bit! Thank you dear phone. :)
Now that she has one more year to go, I pray to God for her well being and  thank him for sending her in my life! Love you dear Sakshi.. :)
